Two men have pleaded not guilty to being accessories after the fact in the slaying of a 23-year-old Marine allegedly killed by a man who also is wanted in a second slaying.

U. S. Magistrate Barry Ted Moskowitz on Friday ordered Timothy Brian Hulinsky, 21, and Adrian Tyson, both of Vista, to appear in court Monday to have a trial date set by U. S. District Judge Earl Gilliam.

Glenn Allan Silva, 32, also is scheduled to appear Monday before Gilliam. Silva pleaded not guilty Thursday to the Aug. 31 slaying of Cpl. Robert James Winters Jr. Prosecutors have declined to comment on the motive for the slaying. Winters, who was married and had a 2-year-old son, was shot to death as he left to report for duty in the San Onofre area of Camp Pendleton.

Accessory-to-murder charges were brought against Hulinsky and Tyson because they allegedly drove Silva to Arizona after the killing. They remain in custody on $250,000 bond each.

Silva was arrested Sept. 2 by FBI agents in Phoenix. He was denied bond by a federal magistrate, who ordered him extradited to San Diego in connection with the slaying of Winters.

During Silva’s detention hearing, authorities revealed that he is also a suspect in the 1984 murder of a woman in New Bedford, Mass. Silva allegedly jumped bail on that charge last year and moved to North County.
