John Delury; Aide on State Senate Panel

SACRAMENTO — John F. Delury, chief consultant to the state Senate subcommittee on aging, died of a heart attack on his 57th birthday Sunday.
Delury first went to work for the Legislature 26 years ago and was a top aide to Assembly Speaker Leo T. McCarthy (D-San Francisco) in the 1970s.
A San Francisco native, Delury is survived by his wife, Cecilia, and two teen-age children.
