The Indianapolis Colts signed free-agent kicker Jess Atkinson and waived running back Joe Cribbs.
Atkinson was signed to replace Dean Biasucci, who suffered a leg injury. The third-year pro from Maryland spent the last two seasons with the Washington Redskins. He has made 11 of 19 field goals and 21 of 22 extra points as a pro.
Cribbs joined the team as a free agent Sept. 2 and played one game, against the Chicago Bears.
