Yoko Ono isn’t the only one on biographer Albert Goldman’s case these days. The author of the new John Lennon biography is also the target of a song that will be contained on U2’s coming album, “Rattle and Hum.†The song, “God Part II,†is a sequel to one of Lennon’s most biting tunes--a 1970 work, “God,†in which the singer summarily dismissed all aspects of hero worship with such lines as “I don’t believe in Beatles†and “the dream is over.†In the new song, U2’s Bono sings, “I don’t believe in Goldman his type like a curse / Instant karma’s gonna get him if I don’t get him first.†The song’s recurring line is “I believe in love.†The album, a companion piece to a documentary concert film on the Irish rock quartet, is due to be released on Oct. 3. A single, “Desire,†was released Tuesday.
