Datron Ends Talks Over Buying Electromechanical
Datron Systems in Simi Valley said it has ended talks concerning its possible purchase of General Defense Electromechanical Systems, a unit of General Defense Corp. of York, Pa.
Thomas V. Baker, Datron’s chief financial officer, said the company is not commenting on why the talks broke down. Datron had disclosed the negotiations in July.
Datron makes satellite communications and defense electronic systems. General Defense Electromechanical, based in Largo, Fla., builds the foundations that support radar systems.
