A man whose body was found last week by a bicyclist in Newhall was a murder victim, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported Sunday.
However, Deputy Van Mosley said the coroner’s office had not yet released the exact cause of death, and the identity of the 35- to 40-year-old man remained unknown.
A bicyclist found the man at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday on a path near Clampitt Road and Sierra Highway. The victim was described as a Caucasian with blue eyes, brown hair and multiple tattoos. He was 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighed about 140 pounds.
