Dry Times Ahead?

The Helix Water District, the Padre Dam Water District and San Diego County Water Authority recently ran a full-page advertisement calling for the cutting back of water use by 10%. If there is such a need now as claimed, then, with all the building permits being issued each day, we are indeed in for some very dry times.
Droughts are common in California, and more severe ones are sure to occur in the future when inevitable growth demand will be much greater than now.
Is there plenty of water for all this increased growth, along with a cushion for droughts or earthquakes?
Let’s hear from the water districts with some facts and figures and their policy for coping with future water needs.
While waiting for some answers, we should all conserve as much water as we can.
