The Republican National Congressional Campaign Committee has announced that it will give major financial help to the effort of Republican candidate Ralph Ramirez of San Gabriel to unseat Rep. Matthew G. Martinez (D-Monterey Park) in the Nov. 8 election.
Rep. Guy Vander Jagt (R-Mich.) announced that the committee will pay $40,000 of the campaign’s expenses and donate $5,000 cash, the maximum permitted under federal election law. The Ramirez-Martinez race is the only election targeted in California by the congressional campaign committee.
