A key behind-the-scenes official in the administration of Los Angeles Mayor Tom Bradley, Mark Fabiani, has joined the California campaign of Democratic presidential contender Michael S. Dukakis.
Fabiani, 31, took a leave of absence from the city payroll last Thursday to become statewide issues director for the Dukakis campaign here, Bradley’s office announced Tuesday.
Fabiani, a graduate of Harvard Law School, has been legal counsel in the mayor’s office since November, 1984.
