Loews Theatre Management Corp. announced that it has agreed to acquire M&R; Theaters, a 70-screen circuit with 16 theaters in the Chicago metropolitan area. With the addition of the Chicago-based M&R; circuit, Loews will operate more than 730 screens in about 205 locations. Loews is a unit of Columbia Pictures Entertainment Inc.
