There’ll be more Ken Minyard and Bob Arthur in the mornings and less Dr. Sonya Friedman in the afternoon ahead for KABC listeners, as the station announced its fall lineup Tuesday, effective Sept. 12.
The popular “Ken and Bob Show” expands an hour, now airing from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday. KABC General Manager George Green said the added hour will feature a range of commentators and critics.
Contributors will include KABC-TV commentator Bill Press as well as food critic Elmer Dills and sports reporter Eric Tracy.
A full-time weather person and traffic reporter are also part of the expansion, Green said.
Friedman was unable to expand to a Monday-to-Friday commitment, but will reappear on various KABC programs in the future, Green said.
The lineup on weekdays will be as follows: “Ken and Bob Show,” 5-10 a.m.; Michael Jackson Show, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.; David Viscott, 2-3 p.m.; Dr. Dean Edell, 3-4 p.m.
