Audiotronics Conducting Talks on Possible Merger
- Share via
Audiotronics, a marketer of audio-visual products for schools, said it is holding talks with unidentified parties that could lead to a merger or acquisition of the struggling North Hollywood company.
The talks were disclosed in Audiotronics’ announcement of a $780,000 loss for its fiscal fourth quarter ended June 30, which was more than double its year-earlier loss of $339,000. Sales in the quarter ended June 30 fell to $1.15 million from $1.23 million.
Audiotronics, which gave no other details about the merger discussions, blamed the losses on several factors, including delays in shipments of component parts from suppliers and “softness in the audio-visual market, which persisted throughout the year.”
For its full fiscal year, the company posted a $1.59 million loss on sales of $5.17 million; the previous year Audiotronics lost $295,000 on sales of $5.61 million.
