Double Trouble

Talk about self-confidence. Memphis-based newcomers Rock City Angels had so much material for its Geffen Records debut album that the band is releasing a double album (solo tape and CD) this month. Called “Young Man’s Blues,” the record is crammed with 15 tunes, including “Mary,” a ballad co-written by Johnny Depp. Yes, the Johnny Depp of “21 Jump St.” fame, who left the band early last year after a brief stint as a guitarist. If you judge the group by its influences, these guys’ hearts are in the right place--their album is dedicated to the likes of Eddie Cochran, Marc Bolan and Sid Vicious.
