In response to your editorial “No Trial for North?” (Aug. 11), is it conceivable that the intense Marine colonel who stood before the nation last summer, in full military regalia, oozing dedication and love of country, is now willing to jeopardize the security of that nation in order to spare himself? What the hell kind of hero and patriot is that?
