Local News in Brief : Fullerton : Fullerton College to Mark 75th Year Today
Students at Fullerton College will kick off the two-year institution’s 75th anniversary celebration today with ice cream and a live concert between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Fullerton is the oldest continuous-enrollment community college in the state. The 75th anniversary kickoff today will have “a little bit of everything,†said Al Busch, spokesman for the college.
Busch said the events will take place in the college quad area. At noon, students will take part in a pep rally, Busch said, and at 12:10 p.m. they will oversee a massive release of blue-and-gold balloons inscribed with “1913,†the year Fullerton College was founded.
