XTRA-AM (690) has hired George Chamberlain from KVSD-AM (1000) to be host of its afternoon talk show “Money Matters†from 3 to 6 p.m. weekdays. An assistant vice president with Merrill Lynch in San Diego, Chamberlain writes a financial column for a chain of North County newspapers. He was host of “Dollars and Sense,†a daily financial talk show, for KVSD for more than two years.
