Xavier Cugat in Hospital

BARCELONA, Spain — Band leader Xavier Cugat was hospitalized today for heart and respiratory problems, his doctor said. Dr. Jorge Ruis said the 88-year-old Spanish born musician leader is suffering from “a problem in the left ventricle probably secondary to a respiratory infection.”
