Dalkon Shield users have filed two notices of appeal against A. H. Robins Co.’s reorganization plan--actions that could delay the company’s emergence from bankruptcy. The appeals were filed with the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., where the drug company is located. One appeal was filed by the Washington-based consumer group Public Citizen. The other was filed on behalf of about 200 claimants by several lawyers. Robins sought Chapter 11 protection in 1985 after it was threatened by massive lawsuits in connection with the Dalkon Shield intrauterine device.
