Fallbrook
The body of an 89-year-old man, bound hand and foot, was found in his home by a neighbor Friday. The home had been ransacked and the dead man’s car is missing.
Sheriff’s Lt. Bill Baxter said that homicide detectives are investigating the death of Leslie Kenneth Loehr as a homicide although no signs of trauma were found on the bound body.
According to Baxter, Loehr, a retired engineer, was found on the kitchen floor of his home early Friday by a neighbor who routinely checked on the welfare of the elderly man.
Loehr’s 1984 white pickup truck was missing along with items from his home in the 500 block of Georgina Road.
