Sunwest Bank in Tustin posted net income of $161,000 for the second quarter, a 22% decrease from the $207,000 earned in last year’s second quarter. Quarterly revenue rose 22% to $5.5 million this year from $4.5 million last year. For the first six months, the bank had $464,000 in net income, a 26% increase over $368,000 earned in the same period last year. Revenue for the period grew 26% to $10.6 million this year from $8.4 million last year. The bank’s assets increased 29% to $218 million at the end of June from $168.6 million a year earlier. Total deposits rose 32% to $196.8 million at the end of the period from $149.2 million a year earlier, while loans grew 26% to $162.8 million this year from $129 million last year.
