NCNB Texas National Bank will shorten its name in newspaper and broadcast advertising for marketing reasons, although a spokeswoman said recent lawsuits figured in the decision. Spokeswoman Martha Larsh said the legal name of the Dallas bank will remain NCNB Texas National Bank, but in advertising it will be referred to as NCNB Texas. NCNB purchased First RepublicanBank on July 29.
