Hart Rallies in 7th for First-Round Win

Jay Sanford smashed a pinch-hit single off the left-field fence with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Hart a 9-8 victory over Monterey Peninsula in the first round of the Colt Western Zone tournament Thursday night in Commerce.

Hart trailed, 8-7, entering the seventh but scored two runs to make reliever Andrew Lorraine the winning pitcher.

Lance Migita tripled and Robby Davis, Darin Tsukishima and Tony Cervantes all doubled for Hart, which plays a second-round game Saturday at 4 p.m. against an undetermined opponent.
