British Barracks Bombed

Associated Press

A bomb blew up at a British army barracks in Duesseldorf today, the second such attack recently, slightly injuring three soldiers and a civilian and tearing off part of the roof, a military spokesman said. On July 13 a bomb damaged another British barracks near here.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility in today’s blast, but the Irish Republican Army was suspected. The IRA killed four members of Britain’s security forces this week--three in attacks in Northern Ireland and one in the bombing of an army barracks in north London. Forty-two people were injured in those attacks.
