Encino Advances in Pony Tournament
Cesar Martinez’s run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning led Encino to a 3-1 victory over Santa Clara in an opening-round game of the Western Zone Pony all-star tournament at Encino Baseball Complex on Saturday.
Encino plays Ocean View, a 9-0 winner over Heartwell, in a championship bracket game today at 4 p.m.
