Thirty protesters arrested in demonstrations at the Concord Naval Weapons Station will be retried, prosecutors said. The decision came a week after a judge declared a mistrial when jurors deadlocked 9 to 3 in favor of convicting the defendants, who were arrested last fall while protesting against the shipment of U.S. arms to Central America. If found guilty, the defendants would face up to six months in Contra Costa County Jail and a fine of $1,000.
