Critiquing Movies and the Folks Who Write About Them : Ripping Roger
- Share via
When Steven Spielberg received his Thalberg Oscar last year he made an eloquent acceptance speech about how it’s time to get back to the word, to emotions and feelings instead of super-technology, etc. Too bad someone didn’t replay his speech for him before “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” was made.
It’s all high-tech and nothing-below-the-surface. Maybe the answer is to send all concerned a copy of the old hit, “You Gotta Have Heart.”
