Democratic Committee Adds Rival Vice Chairs

ATLANTA — The Democratic National Committee added two vice chairmen Friday, one each from the camps of Michael S. Dukakis and Jesse Jackson, in new evidence of efforts at party unity.
The new appointees are New Orleans Mayor Sidney Barthelemy, a Jackson supporter, and Rick Weiner, a Dukakis supporter who is chairman of the Michigan State Democratic Party.
