Lowell Thomas, who coached soccer at North Hollywood High for the past six seasons, has been hired as men’s soccer coach at Occidental College.
Thomas, 47, compiled a record of 36-21-11 at North Hollywood and led the Huskies to four playoff appearances. He replaces Brian Williams, who left Occidental after two seasons to take a coaching position at Westridge School in Pasadena.
“I’m looking forward to the situation,” said Thomas, who inherits a team that finished 7-11-1 last season. “I never thought I would have the opportunity to get into the college coaching ranks so quickly.”
