District of Columbia Drug Arrests of Juveniles Soar

WASHINGTON — The number of juveniles arrested for selling drugs in the District of Columbia increased by 456% in 1987 compared to a year earlier, a report released by the district’s Office of Criminal Justice and Analysis showed. The report issued Thursday said that 35% of those under the age of 18 who were arrested tested positive for drugs.
