Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co. said second-quarter earnings were $309 million, up 29% from a year ago, on increased product demand and the weaker U.S. dollar. The diversified manufacturer, based in Maplewood, Minn., said sales increased 13.8% to $2.71 billion.
