A motorcyclist was killed Sunday on Akron Street near Canon Street in Point Loma. The unidentified man lost control and crashed about 4:47 p.m. while going 65 to 70 m.p.h. in a 30-m.p.h. zone, police said. He was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police spokesman Dave Cohen said.
