Encino-Tarzana Hands Carroll 1st Loss, 8-7

Encino-Tarzana rallied for an 8-7 victory over Encino-Crespi in an American Legion District 20 baseball game at Birmingham High on Friday.
Dan Carroll suffered his first loss in nine decisions. Carroll allowed 1 run, 2 hits and 2 walks in 2 innings of relief. He struck out four.
Chad Nichols was 3 for 4, drove in a run and scored twice to lead Encino-Crespi (15-10). Teammates Andy MacDonald and Don Calabria each had two hits.
