A 22-year-old man died Monday after he was run over by a tractor-trailer truck while crossing a West Hills intersection on his bicycle, Los Angeles police said.
Pilfoo Lee of Woodland Hills was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Center after the 7:50 a.m. accident at Topanga Canyon and Roscoe boulevards, said Officer Dennis Smith of Valley Traffic Division. Lee died in surgery at 10:45 a.m., officials said.
Lee was riding across Topanga Canyon Boulevard when the truck driver, Gerald Ward of Los Angeles, made a right turn onto Topanga, hitting Lee, Smith said. Ward was not arrested, Smith said.
