More Are Taking Shorter Trips
The weekend getaway has replaced the traditional two-week trip as America’s vacation preference, according to a survey commissioned by a major hotel chain.
Nearly three out of four pleasure trips take three days or less, reported the research firm, Audits & Surveys Inc.
The survey found that during 1986 66% took a pleasure trip in which they spent at least one night away from home.
