Cecilio and Kapono

I take exception to the music review of Cecilio and Kapono by Mike Boehm (Calendar, June 27).
The extremely prejudiced nature of this article destroys any and all credibility that might have been exhibited by Boehm. To classify Seals & Crofts as “innocuous harmony-sweetened, folk-pop” artists is ridiculous. Their musical ability and lasting popularity speaks for itself.
Boehm’s limited sphere of knowledge is evident in his inappropriate reference to former President Richard Nixon, who is the reigning elder statesman for the politically astute in this country.
Wherever did you find this critter, er . . . critic?
