Pullman Co. said an investor group led by its senior management and Henley Manufacturing Corp. of Hampton, N.H., has offered to acquire the firm for about $309 million. Princeton, N.J.-based Pullman, which makes truck trailers and industrial components, said the investor group has offered $7.50 a share for all outstanding common shares. It said about 90% would be paid in cash and the remainder in securities. Henley already owns about 10% of Pullman’s 41.15 million common shares and is the firm’s largest shareholder. Pullman said a special committee of its board will consider the proposal.
