How About Replacing Kareem With Wilt?
A fan wrote (June 25) that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar couldn’t and wouldn’t try selfishly to score 100 points against the likes of Mark Eaton, concluding that the Laker center would dish off to a leaping James Worthy for two points.
This fan was obviously viewing a different series. Throughout the playoffs, Kareem’s passing was very poor, with maybe an exception here or there. Wilt Chamberlain is right. Kareem is just hanging around for the money, and without Magic Johnson, Adbul-Jabbar would have retired five years ago.
