Police are seeking a middle-aged man who robbed the Century Federal Savings & Loan branch of more than $2,000 at noon Tuesday.
The man entered the bank, handed a teller a note demanding money and walked off with the cash, Police Lt. Chuck Babcock said. No gun was shown, but the robber did say to the teller that he had one, Babcock said.
Police arrived at the bank, in the 1300 block of North Kraemer Boulevard, “within a minute” after receiving the call, according to Babcock, but were unable to find the man. No escape vehicle was seen.
Babcock said the robber was described as 45 to 50 years of age, with blond hair and a beard, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
