Erosion by Wind Adds to Drought Problems

WASHINGTON — The drought has caused the second-worst amount of wind erosion in the Great Plains since the government began keeping records of the phenomenon, the Agriculture Department said Monday. The erosion has damaged 13.2 million acres in the Great Plains.
