Area Roundup : Old-Timers at Anaheim Sunday Will Include Chance, Belinski

Former Angels Dean Chance, Bo Belinski, Joe Rudi, Vic Power and Ken Brett will be featured in the Equitable Old-timers game Sunday before the Angels’ game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
A group of former players representing the American League West will face players from the American League East in the game, which begins at 12:25 p.m.
Among the players on the West team will be Dick Allen, Tony Oliva and Joe Torre, as well as the former Angels. The East squad will feature Whitey Ford, Willie Horton, Bob Gibson and Luis Tiant.

Registration is under way for the Dan D’Lion Pro Am Criterium, which will be held July 2 in Anaheim.
There will be eight divisions, ranging from junior 14-15 to senior I, II and pro. The bicycle races will be held over a one-mile course in the Anaheim Stadium parking lot.
Entry fees are $7 for the lower divisions and $13 for the senior women I-IV and senior men I, II and pro.

Signups are under way for the Anteater Baseball Camp’s first session, which will be held June 27-30 at UC Irvine.
The camp, which is run by Irvine baseball coach Mike Gerakos, is open to players 8 years of age or older and costs $150.

More than 700 swimmers will compete in the United States Synchronized Swimming National Age Group championships Sunday through July 3 at Heritage Park in Irvine.
Among the teams competing will be Irvine, Glendale, Laguna Niguel and Riverside. The events will consist of figures, solo, duet, trio and team, with the age-group categories from 11-18.
