Pincay Rides Gorky to Win on Turf at Hollywood Park

Gorky, ridden by Laffit Pincay, made his move around the final turn and held on to win the $52,000 feature race on the turf by three-quarters of a length Thursday at Hollywood Park.
It was Gorky’s first win of the year and his second in nine starts.
Five Daddy Five, under Eddie Delahoussaye, finished second, a head in front of Big Chill, with Corey Black aboard, in a field of seven in the race for 4-year-olds and up.
The Canadian-bred Gorky covered 1 1/16 miles on a firm course in 1:40 2/5 and earned $28,600 for the victory and paid $8.40, $4. and $2.80.
