Rockwell International Corp. and two employees have been ordered to show why they aren’t in contempt of court for failing to provide documents to a federal grand jury. A statement by Rockwell denied that the incident is related to an investigation into Pentagon procurement and said the company believes that it has resolved the dispute. The order, signed by a U.S. District Judge in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, instructed David Gilbert, an employee of Rockwell’s Collins Government Avionics division, to appear Monday in federal court to show why he should not be held in civil contempt of court for failing to honor a June 15 order requiring production of original computer tapes. The company and Gary Black, Rockwell’s assistant general counsel, also were ordered to appear in court.
