$8.5 Million in Heroin Seized in Mexico City

MEXICO CITY — Mexican police made one of their largest-ever seizures of heroin and arrested three Hong Kong Chinese at Mexico City’s international airport, a police official said Wednesday.
The 15-pound haul of pure heroin, with an estimated street value of $8.5 million, was destined for the United States, Ramon Casas Alvarez, police commander, said.
