Truck Hits Bus Carrying Band Members; 36 Injured

HOWE, Ind. — A truck hit the back of a chartered bus carrying members of a Michigan drum and bugle corps early Tuesday, injuring 36 people, authorities said. The bus had stopped because of mechanical problems and was struck when it pulled back onto the roadway, a state police spokesman said.
