PRI Accused of Printing Fraudulent Ballots

MEXICO CITY — A group of Socialist Party workers found that fake ballots for Mexico’s upcoming presidential election were being printed by the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party, known as PRI, an opposition leader said.
Socialist leader Jorge Alcocer told a news conference over the weekend that party volunteers discovered the fake ballots at a printing shop in the capital. He said that the shop owner, Jorge Aguayo, told the Socialist workers he was printing the ballots for use by the ruling party in the northwestern state of Sonora.
