Retail Complex Work Planned
The legendary “Road to Mandalay†will soon terminate on a 17-acre parcel at the northwest corner of Wheelhouse Road and Channel Islands Boulevard in Port Hueneme.
That’s the location for the proposed $20-million Mandalay Village Marketplace to be developed by Weston Communities, Los Angeles. Work on Phase 1 will start this summer, and occupancy is scheduled in about a year.
The complex is said by the developer to be the first major retail addition to the area in 5 years.
