Adviser on Child Nutrition Reappointed
Betty J. Stahl, Downey Unified School District food services supervisor, has been reappointed to a second two-year term on the state Child Nutrition Advisory Council. Stahl, 52, who has been with the district for nine years, lives in Long Beach. She has a bachelor’s degree in foods and nutrition from UCLA. The 15-member council is an advisory body to the state Board of Education and Bill Honig, state superintendent of public instruction. Council members recommend plans and guidelines for child nutrition programs.
