De Laurentiis Entertainment Group, which has been struggling to stay afloat in a sea of debt, has sold 46.9% of De Laurentiis Entertainment Ltd., its Australian production and distribution arm, to that entity for about $7 million, according to a recent filing with the SEC. Under the agreement in principal, the Australian affiliate also will give up all rights to the Beverly Hills firm’s film library in Australia and New Zealand and pay $904,245 to settle intercompany balances.
