Concerts by the Sea Closed for Remodeling

Concerts by the Sea jazz club, on the Redondo Beach pier, has closed temporarily for remodeling, according to Don Ballard, one of eight partners who own the nightspot.
The club was among several pier businesses damaged during floods that devastated the area in January, but Ballard said Thursday that Concerts by the Sea was not harmed during the recent fire that damaged the pier. Ballard said a reopening date has not been set.
