Mike Edwards Is Player of the Year in Orange League

Shortstop Mike Edwards of Valencia High School, the leading hitter in Orange County with a .570 batting average, was named player of the year in the Orange League in a vote of the league’s baseball coaches.
Edwards finished his three-year career with 116 hits and led Valencia to the league championship. The Tigers had five players selected to the league’s first team, and runner-up Western had four players.
